Maison Relic began with one idea: a bag should outlive the trend that introduced it.
We are a small studio making bags in short, deliberate runs. Every design starts as a sketch
and is refined over months — the proportions, the weight of the hardware, the way a strap
actually sits on a shoulder. Nothing is rushed to meet a season.
Why we exist
Most bags are designed to be photographed and then forgotten. We would rather make fewer
things, make them properly, and have you carry the same one for years. A bag that still looks
right in five years is a better buy than three that don’t.
How we work
- Designed in-house. Our own sketches, our own proportions — not a
catalogue of someone else’s shapes. - Made in small batches. Limited runs that sell through rather than pile up.
When a piece is gone, it is usually gone. - Sold direct. No middlemen, no markup for a name you have never heard of.
What we won’t do
- We won’t describe a material as something it is not. Each product page lists exactly what
a piece is made of — the outer, the lining and the hardware. - We won’t borrow prestige from another house’s story.
- We won’t run countdown timers and fake scarcity. If a run is limited, it is genuinely limited.
The name
A relic is not something old and used up. It is something that survived because it was worth
keeping. That is the whole brief: make bags worth keeping.
